The capacitor is a component too often and erroneously considered secondary within an apparatus or system. This means that, when purchasing, its choice is often based on price, paying little attention to its characteristics. 
Yet, considering the operating parameters and conditions in which the capacitor will operate is crucial to the reliability and safety of equipment, preventing possible blockages and failures that have a decisive impact on its proper functioning.

These considerations gave rise to our initiative, somewhat provocative and somewhat ironic, to propose a tool-game that confronts the industry with some simple but fundamental questions.

PCIM Nuremberg: the first stage for our ICELOMETER


Half gadget, half discussion tool, the Icelometer was with us at the last trade fair we attended: PCIM Nuremberg.
As we expected, and perhaps even a little more, it attracted the attention of our visitors and gave us the opportunity to explore not-so-obvious issues such as the knowledge of the operating conditions in which the capacitor will work, the importance of installation and layout, what factors are involved in determining the reliability of the instrument and how external stress factors can affect its effectiveness.
