The new HVP and HVR series of metallized polypropylene capacitors are designed for high-voltage power supply applications.
In two versions, radial boxed (HVR) and axial (HVP), they adapt to different types of layouts. With a high voltage rating, they are available in 4000Vdc, 8000Vdc and 12500Vdc versions, with a wide choice of nominal capacitance values.
The metallized polypropylene technology with an internal, non-impregnated series connection guarantees optimum voltage holding, preventing possible ionization effects.
Impulse performance is also excellent: the robust film and execution design allows exceptional peak current capability.
The new HVP and HVR capacitor series find application in DC high voltage, voltage multipliers, medical equipment and high-frequency power-supplies.
They guarantee a high degree of safety because they are manufactured from UL-certified protection materials with self-extinguishing properties.
